It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Robert “Bob” Allen, Jr., on August 29, 2017, after a brief, but valiant, fight against Stage-4 Cancer. Needless to say, we will all miss him more than words can express. He was not just our co-worker but our great friend as well. We are thankful he spent so much of his last few years of his “retirement” remaining an active part of our firm and day-to-day lives.
Bob had over 35 years experience as a CPA and was the recipient of the Nicholas Picchione Silver Medal for performance with distinction on his CPA examination. He was a member of the RI accounting board and AICPA. He completed his MBA at Bryant University and was elected to the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration.
Bob specialized in a wide variety of areas including Accounting & Auditing, Financial Reporting, Not for Profit accounting (and Form 990 preparation), Individual, Partnership & Corporate Taxation, Estate and Trust Taxation, Tax Planning and representing individuals and businesses in IRS and state tax audits and has passed that knowledge on to many in our firm.
While no words can adequately express our sadness, as a firm, we are committed to honoring Bob’s memory by providing the same level of service and commitment while working with the friends and clients that Bob loved so much.
